Hay Feeder

During one of my miniature-ist moments, I saw the use for an old Barbie basket thing as a hay feeder. I slapped some hay from the barn in, taped it (taped because I didn't want it to be a permanent fix). and BAM! A nice (although a bit strange) hay feeder, ready for the barn!

Very sorry about  the quality of the photos, the lighting wasn't too good when I was taking these photos...

It isn't the most realistic, I find mini hay nets more appealing, but it will do until I can figure out how those are made (websites or tutorials anyone??).

New Halter

I recently made John Henry a halter of his own, as he has been sharing with Ravel and I lost the one that fit them both... It's a nice jade green colour that looks very nice with his colouring. Since I misplaced my embroidery thread, he only has a not to realistic ribbon one.

I still need to cut the long strip of ribbon down

These photos aren't the nicest, sorry! But I think it sends the image clearly enough.

This is my favourite and best halter I have ever made.  It came together nicely, and there's no weird glue spots, crooked parts, or miss measured areas! Yay!

Changing the topic...
I recently got a new photo editing program, Photoscape. Oh how I love it! I can edit out fences in my equine photography and get rid of anything unwanted in anything! It also edits the brightness, colour levels, contrast, and so much more so quick and makes photos so much better! I'm very happy I downloaded it! Although I still really want Adobe Photoshop...

Since I have been very bad at every-other-day posting, today I'll post twice. This one and one this evening! Again, very sorry about the inactivity!

Soon!!!

Hey there! I'm VERY sorry for not having uploaded something in a long time! I've been busy, with the end of the year coming and all. I haven't been doing much model stuff... Although have a few posts in mind! Please be patient and wait just one more day before seeing some intense awesomeness (dramatic music... DUN DUN)! Tomorrow. I promise.

HeeHee

I have way to much fun in this hobby. I also have waaaay to much spare time. I'm just not really an after-school club person, ya know?

One example of my spare time is that I made a bunch of little carrots and thought of a bajillion ways to use them. Here's John (who I renamed Elrond. Hehe) with a carrot

Icky quality, sorry! Lighting isn't the greatest...
He's to cute! I need to go out on an outdoor photoshoot with my two new boys!

And here's two random photos. I took about 50, but only about 4 look good. The lighting is sucky in my room- ahem, studio.

Artsy!

So, yeah. I also whipped up a rope halter for this boy today, I'll include it in tomorrow's post (cough cough, outdoor photos cough cough)

New Breyers!

On Saturday I got three new models. A breyer, a vintage Peter Stone, and a Stablemate for my conga. Here they are!!

I love all three to bits! John Henry has a halter because he fits the tack I made for Ravel, and that makes me happy! He is my very first Stone, DAH next O.O
Here's a few photos of the Peter Stone...

He has the cutest little face!
He is also signed by Peter Stone himself. I couldn't get a good photo, but I will try again. It also appears to have a number, either 17 or 27, with the signature. I checked the Peter Stone ref site, but it said that the number made is unknown. Anyone have an idea what this could mean..

Here's the Breyer, John Henry on the John Henry mold!

Besides a very bad warped back leg he's in great condition!

He was my first choice out of the around 100 models I could choose from. His colour was probably my largest turn on, his sweet looking disposition my second. He's going to be my western horse! Saddle making here I come!!

Last but not least is the stablemate. He's a cute little roan paint, I love his colouring!

Number 4 in my conga!!
Well, I have had my breyer fix for the next few months. My birthday is at the end of this month, lets see who joins the herd!

Basic Bridle

Hello!
Here is a pretty basic western type ribbon halter I made for Ravel!

Sorry about the grainy photo!

It's rather simple. Only a throat latch, cheek pieces, browband, and reins! I chose these colours with Snowman in mind! I'm hoping to get that guy soon!
Please excuse the blue stuff! I don't have any sticky wax and this poster hanging stuff does work as a substitute.

Sorry for not posting more! I have a nearly finished custom, tack room, and tack to show y'all! Stay tuned!
